Andy Warhol – Edition Prints – Ads

Andy Warhol portfolio of Ads is a range of artworks created by artist Andy Warhol.

Warhol created the Ads portfolio based on popular advertising campaigns and logos in Contemporary American culture. These Ads were not simply a means to sell products, but had become an integral part of American culture. Warhol included the Paramont, Apple and Mobilgas logos, as well as advertisments that featured well known celebrites, such as Judy Garland in Blackglama fur, and Ronald Reagan for Van Heusen apparel. The Chanel No. 5 bottle stood alone as a product synomous with sophistication and luxury. Warhol’s brillant hues of purple, pink and blue with the contrasting black bring a simple rectangular bottle to life.
